Avigena and First Genomix Partner to Launch a Pioneering Genomic Prediction and Prevention Program in the UAE

Dubai, UAE, September 30, 2026 Avigena and First Genomix, part of the Fakih Group, have signed a strategic clinical collaboration agreement to launch a pioneering Genomic Prediction and Prevention Program in the UAE and across the MENA region.

The collaboration will introduce Avigena’s OmniInsight™ genomic testing and precision medicine platform, designed to help individuals better understand their genetic risk for common diseases and take earlier, more personalized steps toward prevention.

The program uses advanced Polygenic Risk Score (PRS) technology to identify inherited susceptibility to common diseases that traditional genetic testing or conventional screening may miss. By integrating PRS, monogenic variants, clinical data, and lifestyle factors, OmniInsight™ provides a more comprehensive view of individual risk and translates these insights into actionable, precision-based prevention strategies. The program will initially focus on major conditions, including coronary artery disease, breast cancer, and prostate cancer, with additional cardiovascular and cardiometabolic risk assessments available. By identifying increased disease susceptibility, often before diseases develop, the program aims to enable earlier risk stratification, personalized screening, targeted prevention, and proactive health management. The collaboration reflects a shared vision to advance healthcare in the region, moving from disease detection and treatment to prediction, prevention, and personalized care.
